How to make your Notebook stand out!!

Notebooks are a really simple promotional tool and they offer the donating company an unrivalled opportunity to convey your brand or message to the user.

Let's assume you want to stand out from the crowd and look good. This is an obvious thing to say but there are so many companies quite happy to use a standard off-the-shelf book with their printed logo - soooooo boring!

Firstly.  Start with the notebook cover materials - One of the most popular is Thermo PU which gives a slightly darker colour contrast at the bottom of the embossed logo, feels soft to touch, and looks good - we offer 75 colour options (more than anyone in the UK and we can emboss or print your image. We also offer a huge range of PU's with many different patterns/textures that can effectively carry an embossed logo as it's difficult to print on textured PU.

We are currently doing a Notebook with a UV printed logo on the front, back cover & spine with an embossed pattern on the front to really stand out

Contrast inner colour

We can combine different inner & outer colours of PU cover for added impact and emboss your details on both sides - these are the available PU colours

Or we can offer a cloth style cover that feels tactile to the touch and looks different - we offer Linen, Natural Linen, Cotton, Buckram ( a type of Linen),  Book cloth ( like a library book) or Silk all of which can carry your logo and look great

We also recently added a new Biodegradable cover made from tree bark fibres which will rot to nothing once in the soil and feels textured to the touch and brands well. We think that touch is really important as you carry your notebook with you and if it feels nice it has greater perceived value and your customers like it.

The classic Moleskine Notebook is made from Paper leather which we sell and is hard-wearing.

We can also supply a wide range of ECO-Friendly Paper or Card covers that are more basic and can be printed with your logo  (this is where our tree bark fibres cover fits in the picture as it feels soft & textured unlike cardboard)

All our cover materials come in a wide range of colours so you get a great colour match

We can emboss, blind emboss, screen-print, Foil print. UV Print. Digitally print. Litho print, Engrave or even print the cover with your logo or image to make it stand out and look impressive

Moving to the inside of the notebook we supply Eco-Friendly virgin, FSC approved or recycled papers in white, linen, cream or coloured paper.  We offer the basic acid-free paper in a wide range of paperweights (we can even add your watermark for that extra high-quality look)!

You can have lined, dotted, gridded or plain pages where we can add your logo and we print the inside front and back cover and opposite fly pages included in the price although colours cost a bit extra.  You can add your company details or a pattern on the inner fly pages to make the notebook stand out

I can never understand why if you are going to the trouble of designing your notebook you don't use it to shout a bit about your company, its products or the event the notebook is for. We can  easily and cheaply add colour pages in the book and we can even help with the creation of artwork although we prefer you to do this as its much quicker

We can supply Bookmark ribbons. elastic closures.pen loops in 00's of colour so you can get a nice contrast. It is often the simplest of things that look the most impressive -  we can Pantone match the paper edge if required and we have Pantone matched the bookmark ribbons in the past

We are often asked if we can Pantone match the cover and we can for PU if you want 8000 A5 books but for smaller quantities, we print the paper or board cover in your Pantone and get 90% colour accuracy we then add a gloss or matt laminate finish. Our factory uses Heidleberg Printers so we get excellent print quality.
